When is 19 and 24 Less Than 30?
Like when there added together, not separately...oh crap, this sounds dumb...
When you’re watching the Royal Rumble, that when! So when Dan, Harper, Caroline, and Bobby decided to have our somewhat regular bet for who will win, I found myself in dire straits. The Rumble, for those who don’t know, is the best WWE event of the year. Even if I haven’t watched all year, which I haven’t, the Rumble is worth the time. 30 men, including a midget, who all fight together and the only way to eliminate someone is to throw him over the top rope and onto the ground. We decide to randomly draw numbers 1-30 and each kick in a dollar per number. So that’s 30 big ones on the line. We draw numbers before the match, so we don’t know which wrestler we have until their music plays as they come in. I drew my numbers, none of which were great. I offered two of my numbers, 19 and 24, to Dan for his number 30. Two for one, good deal for Dan, right?
So we make the deal, trade the numbers, and Dan gets two awful picks, leaving me with an unknown number 30. Who gets the lucky number but John Cena! Yay me! A couple minutes of Cena kicking major booty and then I, er, I mean Cena throws Harper’s last man, Triple H, over the top rope for the victory. I took my traditional money bath on the floor of Dan’s living room to the delight of all my fans. Why did Dan make the trade? You’ll have to ask him, because he claims that he would make it again.
I think I’m like the Yankees of winning money at Dan’s. I can’t count all the times I’ve taken my money bath in front of a bunch of non-winners. Oh well, with the Super Bowl next Sunday, I’m looking to win again and have yet another money bath. Time to make it rain!
