Double Foul?
Referees today Suck!
My buddy Bobby got me tickets to the UNC/South Carolina State game last night. Dwight and I attended and had a great time. At one point during the first half, Tyler Hansbrough tried a spin move and made contact (surprise!) with one of the SC State flunkies. At this point, one referee called a charge and the other called a block. I yelled out that Tyler was punished enough for beating on people earlier in his career.It wan’t enough as Tyler picked up the foul. Yuck. Strangely enough, we got the ball under our basket. This didn’t make sense, until we realized that the referees, instead of meeting and agreeing who was correct, decided to call a double foul. Yep, one on our guy, one on their guy. I think this is like a do-over in the backyard. Dwight said that it was a good thing this game wasn’t televised.
PS – he also added that after the blue team took the court in the later parts of the game and then the very last players on the bench got their time that we would be referring to the third team as the white team. He then hit me on the back really hard and said, “Get it? Get it? Ha!” Oh, that Dwight…
