Top Ten Plays
nine out of ten ain't bad...
Kristin and I are getting ready to go to work (and school) the other day and the television was on ESPN, showing the top ten plays from the day before. I like the top ten plays. It lets me see things I wouldn’t normally see, such as cool shots from the NBA or super neato terrific hockey fights.Kristin, who gets enough sports by me just talking about them, usually stops what she’s doing and watches the top ten as well. It doesn’t take a lot of time or effort, and it lets her fit in at work because she’s seen the cool plays that the boys at work are talking about.
We’ve both come to the realization that there are things in the top ten that we don’t care for (read golf). For us, there’s nothing more disappointing than seeing a devastating knockout by some boxer, followed by Kobe’s latest 45 for 97 shooting performance, followed by an eagle off a par something. Sorry I couldn’t even finish the example; I became too bored while typing. Seriously, when we get to the number one play and we hear, “Check out Tiger at the Dumbass Invitational,” we have to change the channel.
Don’t ruin it for me – did he make a golf shot? Let me guess. He hit it, it went through the air, bounced on some grass, and then bounced on some shorter grass before getting near a hole. Was I right? If someone asks you if you saw that shot, just say “yes” and then make the motion of someone swinging a golf club and say “Sweet.” No one will ever know.

I seem to remember your b-day and tax day go together... since it's one, it must be the other. Happy B-Day and thanks to Google for finding you and all the other usual suspects.
Cheers-
